Understanding the Stock Grid

The Stock Overview is your master ledger for what is physically available in the hospital right now. It aggregates data across all batches and sub-stores.

Searching and Filtering

• By Location: You can filter to see the stock only in the "Main Pharmacy" versus the "ICU Ward Store".
• By Batch/Expiry: Click into an item to see the breakdown of different batches. The system operates on a FEFO (First Expiring, First Out) principle to prevent wastage.

Physical Stock Takes (Auditing)

At the end of every month, stores must reconcile their system stock with physical counts.

1. Click + Adjust Stock if the physical count differs from the system count (e.g., due to breakage or theft).
2. Select the Item and Batch.
3. Enter the precise variance (-2 pieces).
4. The system requires a Reason Code (e.g., "Expired", "Broken", "Miscount") for financial auditing.
