Managing Departments

The Specializations module allows you to define the structure of your clinical operations (e.g., Cardiology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Neurology).

Why is this master data critical?

• Doctor Profiles: When HR creates a new doctor, they must be linked to a specialization.
• Patient Booking: When patients use the online portal or call the front desk, they often ask for a "Heart Doctor" rather than a specific name. The system allows receptionists to filter available doctors by the Cardiology specialization.
• Analytics & Revenue: The Finance dashboard uses these tags to generate departmental revenue reports. You can instantly see whether Orthopedics or Pediatrics generated more OPD footfall this month.

Department Mapping

You can map specific Services (like a specialized diagnostic test) exclusively to a Specialization. This ensures that a pediatric consultation service doesn't accidentally show up in the cardiology billing search, reducing human error at the front desk.
